Architecture and engineering firms throughout the region have come to depend on the talented and knowledgeable students who graduate from New River Community College’s architecture program. Though most specializations offer up to 15 credit hours, architecture students have an additional 12 hours of architectural training due to the unique structure and specialized offerings within the Engineering Design program.
They graduate with training and knowledge packed into four semesters of intense training.
When these two-year architecture students graduate they are ready to go to work immediately and can make an impact on an A & E’s firm from day one.
Students get training in residential, commercial, basic structural design and an introduction to BIM.
Also, they gain 2D and 3D Skills in architectural drafting using: AutoCAD, ACAD Architecture, REVIT, Sketchup, Impression, Photoshop, 3Ds Max, Adobe Premier as well as other specialized software packages.
