Library Commons/Computers and Wireless Access
The library houses 50 computer workstations for student use. Each of these computers are connected to the campus network and provide numerous software programs as well as Internet access.
Wireless Connections and Laptop Computers
The library supports wireless Internet connections that allow students with personal laptops to connect to the Internet.
The library also has six Gateway Wireless Laptop computers that may be checked out for "in library use only" for a maximum of two hours. These laptops have Internet Explorer and MS Office 2003 loaded for your convenience. Laptops may be check out at the Circulation Desk.
Group Study Areas
Two study rooms are available for students who need a private room in which to work on group study
projects. Construction of two study rooms, each outfitted with wireless Internet capabilities,
was completed this summer to provide more meeting space for small groups.
Group study rooms may be reserved at the Circulation Desk for a two-hour time period, or longer if available. Laptops are also available for students to check out and use in the study rooms.

Library Instructional Lab
The instructional lab is equipped with 20 computer workstations and an instructor’s workstation, Elmo document camera, and projector and is available for reservation by NRCC classes requiring a lab classroom. Please consult the lab calendar for availability at http:/www2.nr.edu/librarylab/calmonth.asp. Reservations may be made by contacting Sandy Smith or Alison Cockram.
Media Viewing Room
Educational media may be viewed in the media viewing room which is equipped with televisions, VCR and DVD players. Students are encouraged to bring personal headphones to ensure viewing privacy.
