The library website is a research portal to information for students writing papers and completing course assignments. Students will find over 150 research databases that may be searched through VIVA, the Virtual Library of Virginia. This Virtual Library is available from anywhere in Virginia , 24 hours a day, seven days a week and contains over a million full-text articles and reports.

From the library website, students may:
  • Search for books, e-books, videos, CDs, DVDs within the NRCC Library, RU and VT libraries, and surrounding public libraries

  • Search for full-text magazine and newspaper articles

  • Search research databases for information to complete course assignments or for writing papers

  • Research guides to help you get started with your research
