NRCC to offer handgun safety class

| New River Community College will offer a Concealed Carry, Handgun Safety class on Tuesday, March 13 and Thursday, March 15. Both class meetings will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. in Edwards Hall at NRCC in Dublin. The cost of the course is $60, which includes a textbook, and the course will be instructed by Joey Williams. The six-hour classroom course is required, but students will also be offered optional range time. The class is intended for individuals who are applying for a handgun permit through the courts and will cover topics such as the nomenclature of revolvers and/or semi-automatic handguns and safety issues related to handgun ownership.
