NRCC FOCUS GROUPS

New River Community College is always looking to improve our understanding of the needs of our students to help them succeed in college and in life. One method we use to better understand our students is to conduct focus groups – guided discussions on topics – to get their thoughts and suggestions regarding those topics.

By completing the following form, you are stating your willingness to participate in one of these focus groups. You are under no obligation to participate in a focus group, however, focus group participants will receive a $20 gift card to Wal-Mart for their participation.

Focus groups involving 6-8 students each are planned for both the Dublin campus and the Christiansburg site. While these focus groups may be held at any time (9 am to 5 pm) Monday thru Friday, they will most often be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am to noon.

If you are interested in participating in one of these focus groups, please complete the following form. Students will be chosen randomly from the list of interested students and contacted about their availability and interest in participating as a member of a focus group.

Each student may participate in only one focus group each academic year.
