Welcome to New River Community College's Motorcycle Safety Program. NRCC will offer Basic Rider, Extended Basic Rider and Experienced Rider Courses.
All Rider Coaches are experienced motorcycle operators who are nationally certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and are re-certified annually.
On-line registration is encouraged. You may also register in person in the Workforce Development Office at NRCC located in Edwards Hall, room 215.
All students enrolled in NRCC’s Motorcycle Safety course must complete, on your own, an online portion to participate in the training. Once you have registered and tuition has been paid, an email with the course link will be sent to you to complete the online assignment prior to your class beginning. Once the online portion is achieved, you will be required to bring the completion certificate to the instructor the first day of class. Should you not complete your online requirement and provide a certification of completion, state requirements will not allow you to continue in the class.
