Nursing Admissions Specialist (full-time)

Qualifications Required:

* Excellent human relations skills for working with the public and with community college students, faculty, and administrators.

* Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

* Fairness and flexibility in understanding and working with a wide variety of students.

* Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

* Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills.

* Excellent keyboarding and computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

* Demonstrated knowledge of general office practices.

* Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.

* Commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Additional Considerations:

* Work experience in a team-oriented postsecondary educational environment.

* Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to college admissions and records.

* Experience with PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS) or other comparable system.

Duties:

* Assist students with the application process for the nursing programs and provide administrative support for nursing supervisor and faculty during the nursing applicant selection process.

* Coordinate all activities involved with supporting the instructor-initiated withdrawal policy.

* Serve as admissions liaison with college divisions regarding dual enrollment.

* Manage the required records reporting process to outside agencies.

* Provide customer/technical support by assisting students with the People Soft Student Information System (SIS) and the admissions application.

* Update information for the admissions and records website, review admissions applications daily, send acceptance letters, and complete student deferment forms.

* Register students, provide customer service, and assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor.

* Support the college's mission to "give everyone the opportunity to learn and develop the right skills so lives and communities are strengthened."

Salary:

$32,843 - $40,000
