Financial Aid Assistant (part-time)

Qualifications Required:

- Significant work experience in an office setting with demonstrated knowledge of effective office practices.

- Good organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, and computer skills.

- Ability to interact with other personnel in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service to students, faculty/staff, and the public.

- Ability to meet deadlines while working effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office applications.

Additional Considerations:

- Work experience in an educational environment.

- Knowledge and/or experience with PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS) or other comparable system.

Duties:

- Perform office support functions for the Financial Aid Office using initiative and good judgment to see that matters are handled in a professional, efficient, and timely manner.

- Assist students and families with FASA completion and verification process.

- Assist with the work-study program to include placement and hiring process.

- Interact with students, potential students, NRCC personnel and the public via telephone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person communication.

- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Financial Aid Manager.

Salary:

$15.00 per hour
